Diving Into Your Pages: Picture Book Workshop
March 27th, April 3rd & April 10th: (3 Wed. Evenings)
6:30-9:30 p.m.

You've got an idea for a children's picture book. You've captured some (or all) of the story. Now what?

This workshop is for you. Facilitated by Lynn E. Hazen in a safe and nurturing workshop format, Diving Into Your Pages provides the opportunity to receive feedback from Lynn & the group on your picture book manuscript(s). You will learn how to give and receive helpful critiques and come away with strategies for revising, improving and polishing your manuscript.

Workshops will be 3 hours long and will meet 3 times (for a total of 9 hours) with the same participants. Enrollment limited to seven participants.

Lynn E. Hazen writes books filled with humor, heart and hope. She enjoys teaching adults and has taught classes and writing workshops at Stanford Continuing Studies, the Big Sur Writing Conference, the San Francisco Writer's Conference, and SCBWI conferences.

Lynn earned an M.F.A. in Writing for Children & Young Adults at Vermont College, where she won the Houghton Mifflin Scholarship.

Kirkus Reviews praised her young adult novel, Shifty, as "a realistic story that resonates." Shifty was chosen for VOYA's Top Shelf Fiction, as a CCBC Choice, and a Smithsonian Notable.

Lynn's books for younger readers include a picture book, Buzz Bumble to the Rescue, and two young chapter books, Cinder Rabbit and The Amazing Trail of Seymour Snail. Her middle grade novel, Mermaid Mary Margaret, was hailed "a winner" by Kirkus Reviews.
