In the grand halls of Paris's Ecole des Beaux-Arts, a collaborative method called the "Charrette" was born, where artists and designers came together to contribute their unique and strongest talents towards the creation of new work. This summer, SBCAA has created three unique charrette sessions to immerse beginner thru advanced youth in the art of aerial performance. Each session will guide 20 students thru six aerial disciplines including static trapeze, aerial fabrics, lyra, corde lisse, sling, and invented apparatus as well as a challenging study in conditioning, choreography, technique, dance, and theatre. Each session will culminate in a rich and diverse public ensemble performance that highlights every artist's unique strengths and talents. Featured as one of the nation's top five youth aerial programs by Dance Studio Life Magazine, this unique summer aerial intensive is not to be missed!
