Speaker Series | Why Lavender
Tracy Breckon talks about her journey to growing lavender on a large-scale as part of a farming operation. Some of the historical uses of lavender will be explored as well as best practices to grow, harvest, prune and process this multi-purpose, aromatic herb. As well, Tracy will share insights from her experience in establishing a lavender garden of nearly 600 angustifolia and lavandin varieties - simple, challenging and rewarding.
Tickets are $10.00 each, and include a glass of wine upon arrival. This is a licensed event, minors must be accompanied by an adult. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the presentation will begin at 7:00 pm.
