Ryan's one man show, "Dethroning Julie Andrews", is a tale of a little man with big goals as it follows one goofy kid chasing a dream. Classic songs from Broadway, film, television (and one ditty plucked from the annals of disco) are given new life and context as they lead the audience step by step along the path from playtime to the big-time.
Prior to moving to Puerto Vallarta, Ryan spent twelve years performing in the San Francisco institution, BEACH BLANKET BABYLON, where he performed for (and sometimes with) such luminaries as Prince Charles of Wales, George Lucas and former Secretary of State George Schultz. Ryan has also performed at the World Series, at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in New York and has shared the stage with Megan Mullally and the cast of WICKED.
