At first this appears to be a simple story of a burned-out writer, but it becomes a murder shocker with many levels of wrongdoing and more twists and turns than you can imagine. (Some adult themes)
Deathtrap ran on Broadway for four years, holding the record for the longest run by a comedy-thriller. It is the best known play written by Ira Levin, who is known to many as the author of the novels "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Stepford Wives."
Deathtrap was made into a movie of the same name which starred Christopher Reeve and Michael Caine.
