Seafair Haven 2018
The Tall Ships (Wales) Trust and Lawrenny local hosts invite classic small and cruising craft to join them for a week's programme of fleet sailing, entertainment, food and camping in Pembrokeshire's National Park waterway.
The main host port is Lawrenny Quay where the Lawrenny Arms 'Doghouse' welcomes all participants for registration, briefings, meals, entertainment and socialising. A temporary campsite is established at a beautiful spot nearby and an itinerary of daily fleet cruising is planned and guided by local sailors and vessel owners.
Saturday 23rd June is the annual Lawrenny Regatta and party with Saint City Jazz band and visiting band the Fat Panthers. Sunday 24th June is the Pembroke Haven Yacht Club Upriver Race which this year offers a class for visiting Seafair vessels. On Monday 25th June there will be lunch at Neyland Yacht Club followed by the Pembroke River Run for those with the draught to enter Pembroke Pool. In the evening the tall ship Johanna Lucretia will host a summer buffet onboard featuring a performance by Pope of Coleridge's epic poem 'The Ancient Mariner'.
On Tuesday night sees 'Tuesday Night Unplugged Musicians' coming to the Doghouse to jam together with anyone with an instrument welcome to join in.
On Wednesday the fleet aim for Angle Point House for lunch, Thursday a late lunch at Burton's Jolly Sailor and Friday evening the Cresswell River Run.
The week culminates in a Parade of Sail on Saturday 30th July from Cleddau Bridge at 12.30 sailing downstream and back - the public are invited to view the action from Hobbs Point where the tall ship Johanna Lucretia will be open for visitors and RNLI classic vintage lifeboats will be in the area.
