Too Many Cooks: Adrienne and the Beanstalk
With winter taking it's toll on the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables, it can be easy to fall into a lethargic, pizza-eating slump (or maybe it's just me?).
Luckily, you really don't have to work too hard to maintain a healthy diet if you know which produce and food items to switch to during the colder months.
For March's Too Many Cooks, we've invited Adrienne Raimo, dietitian-extraordinaire, to come share healthy recipes that are inexpensive, quick and delicious. The demonstration dishes she prepares for us will incorporate ingredients such as baby spinach, red lentils, organic canned tomatoes, and kombu.
You'll get to sample what she makes and learn how about she got started as a dietitian and health coach. If you've got questions about how to maintain a healthy diet, which foods increase energy levels, or how to best prepare those hearty winter greens, Adrienne will gladly answer them!
Held on the second Sunday of every month, Too Many Cooks features experts, foodies, restaurateurs, and enthusiasts who talk about their passion for food. The evening starts promptly at 7pm and the $5 admission includes delicious food samples. BYOB.
*Many of the ingredients used in the cooking demonstrations are provided by our generous sponsor, Green BEAN Delivery. Their company networks with the best farmers and artisans to provide to-your-door, year-round home delivery of organic produce and natural groceries.
