"Notable Women" Walking Tour
Summer evenings are a wonderful time to stroll through the grounds of Lakewood. Take in the beautiful gardens and long vistas while you learn a bit of fun, local history.
On the Notable Women walking tour, well share the stories of women who have shaped Minneapolis from its earliest days. Featuring 19th-century womens healthcare advocate Harriet Walker, suffragist Clara Ueland, salon entrepreneur and educator Myndall Cain, and many more.
Tickets are $5, which goes toward Lakewood's Perpetual Care Fund to help keep maintain Lakewood's grounds for generations to come.
Details for that day: - The tour will depart from in front of the Garden Mausoleum (the building immediately to your right upon entering the cemetery). Parking is available along the road near the building.
- Be prepared to walk a mile and a half across both paved roads and uneven ground. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- We will plan to walk in light rain, however the tour will be cancelled in the event of serious weather (we will notify you by email if that happens).
Please note: We are sorry, this tour is not ADA accessible. Please see our other upcoming events for ADA accessible options.
