Bill and the Belles
A "Bill and the Belles" show is a celebration of the diversity country music once represented, from sentimental Southern ballads to the popular songs of Tin Pan Alley to regional fiddle breakdowns, exquisite and playful vocals accompanied by fiddle, guitar, banjo and bass.

Recently featured at The Brooklyn Folk Festival, followed by the Ashokan Hoot, and the Old Tone Festival, Kris Truelson, Grace Van't Hof, Kalie Yeagle, and Karl Zerfas are centered around Bristol, VA  at the foothills of the Blue Ridge and the forefront of old-time music.

Kris Truelsen (guitar, vocal) was raised in the mountains of Colorado and has been an avid fan of early country music most of his life. As the first to earn his masters degree in Appalachian Studies from East Tennessee State University, he continues to expand and share his knowledge of traditional American music. As producer of Radio Bristol, housed in the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, Kris' music, philosophy, and enthusiasm touch audiences internationally. Kris produces and hosts the historic radio program "Farm and Fun Time" and a daily morning program "

They have performed at the International Bluegrass Music Associations (IBMA) World of Bluegrass, the Folk Alliance and the Great Southern Old Time Fiddlers Convention.

"What a wonderful and authentically American sound... - Music City Roots

"Early country music remains appreciated  not just replicated. - Rolling Stone

"Theyre a joy to watch live.  You cant make it through their set without smiling. -The Bluegrass Situation
