Mother's Daughter Father's Son
Founding Rockstar Storytellers Allegra Lingo and phillip low team-up this Mothers Day and Fathers Day for a double-bill of their 2007 Fringe hits, Descendant of Dragons and I Hate Kenny G. Both shows are travelogues that were the best-selling shows in their respective venues in the 2007 Fringe, each selected for a coveted Encore slot. Descendant of Dragons tells of a Chinese-American eldest son struggling with his fathers legacy; I Hate Kenny G tells of how a musicians mother, her mentor, and a strippers can of tuna pave the path away from the titular musician. Allegra Lingo and phillip low are the co-founders of the Rockstar Storytellers, a monthly storytelling cabaret, and have individually won acclaim with storytelling performances at the Minnesota and Iowa Fringe Festivals.
