Fermented Pairings Series Vol. 26: Journey to the Mountain States Featuring Smallgoods American Cheeses & Provisions
Join White Labs for an educational (and delicious) pairing of beer and cheese. White Labs Education & Engagement Curator Erik Fowler is teaming up with Jenny Eastwood, an American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional® and owner of Smallgoods American Cheeses & Provisions for an hour and a half educational pairing that explores cheeses made in the Mountain States. The duo will showcase award-winning cheeses and pair them with five White Labs beers.
Idaho: Goat milk Crottin (firmer, bloomy rind cheese) Paired with: Grisette WLP568 Saison Ale Yeast Blend
Idaho: Teton Tomme (harder, long aged raw goat milk cheese) Paired with: Extra Special Bitter WLP013 London Ale Yeast
Utah: Cow milk alpine/gouda hybrid (aged over 12 months) Paired with: Breakfast Stout WLP005 British Ale Yeast
Nevada: Cured Elk
Colorado: 'Funkmeister' (washed rind Cow milk) Paired with: Brut IPA WLP001 California Ale Yeast
