Herbal Remedies for Summer

Already sunburnt? Worried about using chemical bugsprays? Already got some itchy bites? Herbs can help with that! Join me for this practical herbal remedy class and learn to deal with the woes of summer so you can keep on having fun.

In this two-hour class, you will learn:
- a few different herbal remedies for bug bites
- how make your own bug repellent with essential oils or herbs
- how to make poultices with yarrow and plantain leaf (demonstration in class)
- herbs to relieve sunburn
- how to use herbal cold compresses to heal sunburns (demonstration in class)
- how to cut and apply a whole aloe leaf (demonstration in class)
- cooling beverage ideas for the summer (we'll get to taste one in class, so bring a cup!)

This is a hands on class, so come ready to participate. I recommend not to wear your fanciest clothing, as you'll be more willing to participate with some of these topical remedies.

PLEASE BRING:
- a cup for tasting a delicious cooling herbal beverage
- a small towel (to dry or wipe off some of the demonstrations we will be doing)
- a small, 1oz spray bottle (if you'd like to take home some homemade bug repellent)
