Paddle for a Cure
Join us for a fun-filled day paddling on the Hudson River while raising money and awareness for a great cause. Following a new route, the 6-mile current-assisted route follows a beautiful stretch of the Hudson from Dockside Park in Cold Spring, up to and around historic Bannerman's Island, returning back to the start/finish at Dockside Park in Cold Spring.

During the paddle participants will pick up playing cards at specific points along the way, hoping to produce the best 'poker' hand, and win a fabulous prize.  After the paddle, celebrate a fun and rewarding day on the water with music, picnic lunch, beer and a raffle.

Net proceeds from the paddle and raffle will benefit the Support Connection of Yorktown, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization established in 1996 that offers free, confidential support services to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer.  More information on their services and programs can be found at http://supportconnection.org/.

A $65 entry fee (just $55 if you register before July 15th!) includes insurance for the event, picnic lunch, a raffle ticket plus a great event giveaway. A guaranteed minimum donation of $30 per entry and all raffle proceeds go to the Support Connection.
EVENT DAY SIGNUP IS $ 75.00, so please signup EARLY.

Kayaks, canoes, SUPs, rowboats, beginners, seasoned boaters and teams of friends and co-workers are encouraged to join us.

Bring your own craft, or we can assist you with arrangements. To rent a boat please email:matt@primepaddlesports.com or call Hudson River Expeditions @ 845-809-5935. Sponsors, prizes and raffle items will be posted at hrwa.org.

Detailed instructions, waivers and insurance forms will be available on the HRWA site (http://hrwa.org/events/paddle-for-the-cure/) and will be emailed to registered participants a week prior to the event.

Schedule:
Saturday, September 8th 2018
9:30am registration opens at Dockside Park in Cold Spring. Participants arrive, unloads their gear, and parks their car in the Cold Spring train station parking lot
10:30am mandatory safety briefing at the start
11:00am Poker Paddle begins!
Post-Paddle Picnic will welcome all participants at the finish line in Cold Spring!
