Hollywood Heritage and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Present: LA's Legendary Restaurants

On Wednesday, June 13, 2018 Hollywood Heritage and The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will host a special presentation on the book "L.A's Legendary Restaurants" by George Geary. This richly illustrated book contains over 100 recipes, featuring such delicacies as Chasen's Hobo Steak, The Brown Derby's Cobb Salad, Ciro's Crabmeat Cocktail and The Formosa Cafés very potent Mai Tai. Also included are unique histories of the featured eateries and a comprehensive collection of reproduced restaurant memorabilia including menus, napkins and matchbooks from The Coconut Grove, Musso & Frank Grill, Perino;s, Don the Beachcomber and many others.

George Geary is a Certified Culinary Professional and best-selling cookbook author. A partial list of his previous books includes; "Fair Foods, The Cheesecake Bible"; "The Complete Baking Cookbook"; "650 Food Processor Recipes" and "150 Donut Recipes". George has shared some of his favorite recipes with television viewers on ABC, The Food Network, NBC, CBS, and PBS and has been featured in the pages of many food magazines, newspapers and The Wall Street Journal.

After the book signing and raffle we will be serving world famous C.C. Browns Hot fudge sundaes (courtesy of Lawry's Restaurants Inc. and The Tam O'Shanter Restaurant) and Clifton's Cafeteria's Pumpkin Cupcakes with cream cheese frosting (both tastings are included with paid admission!)

An exhibition of the Bissetti Collection of famous local restaurant menus will also be on display. See you at The Barn!
