The Problem with Plastic Packaging Workshop
A lot of plastic packaging is a problem in our discard stream. Markets have tightened as a result of China's National Sword policy and we are short of domestic markets for some plastic resins.
The Global Recycling Council of CRRA and the Gold Rush Chapter of SWANA are co-sponsoring a day-long workshop on packaging hosted by the City of Fremont. The focus of the day will be on plastic packaging (but we may address other problem packages as well), and how local governments, collectors, processors and brokers are addressing these challenges.
REGISTRATION 8:30 a.m. WORKSHOP 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. INCLUDES NETWORKING LUNCH 12-1 p.m.
