ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Some of the best poems are a poet's own stories. In this workshop we'll approach spoken word as storytelling, doing an exercise or two to find the seeds for poems that are ours to tell and workshop one until it grows into a tiny plant of a tale. We'll talk about ways to describe that plant as the seasons change, as the buds drop off, as the stem grows, splits, heals and take new forms. You will (hopefully) leave with a catalogue of seeds to sprout into poems when the lighting and rain are right.
