Human Gene Editing: A Community Discussion
Join the Education Department at the Pink Palace Museum for a special forum on editing the human genome. This community discussion invites scientists, scholars, and community members to discuss the ethical implications of editing the human genome! As a participant, you will hear from informed speakers, discuss applications for the technology, and debate the ethics of this scientific advancement. This program is open to everyone, no scientific knowledge needed!
We recommend this forum for audiences 16 and older. Pre-registration is recommended.
Light refreshments will be offered. The program takes 2 hrs to complete; we recommend planning accordingly.
This forum is a product of national network of scientists and informal educators attempting to create and facilitate public engagement with science through STEM related activities and discussions.
