Gender Fluid Consciousness Raising
Elevate your awareness and expand your thinking about Gender Fluid / Non-binary Identities.      THE LAVENDER EFFECT® will create a safe space for diverse Gender Identities and Expression. Open minded individuals of all ages, races, genders, and sexualities are welcome and encouraged to participate.

7:00 PM  Social Gathering & Binary Detox
Mix and mingle with others interested in Gender Fluid, Non-binary Identities. Water, light snacks, and welcoming environment will be provided.

7:15 PM  Safe Space Opens with Ancestral Wisdom
Elders from the LGBTQ+ and allied community will open a safe space with ancestral wisdom. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own quotes about Gender Fluid / Non-binary Identities (100 words or less).

7:30 PM  Oral History Project Segments & Discussion
Featured segments from THE LAVENDER EFFECT® Gender Fluid Oral History Project will be screened, followed by facilitated group discussion. Individual videos are a primer for discussion about specific topics including genderfluidity, binary/non-binary, preferred pronouns, social constructs, gender etiquette, historic milestones, gender dysphoria, dual genders, and future obstacles. Videos Segments feature the following pioneering individuals:

4.Jaxon Cat Williams (He/Him/His)
5.Aydin Olson-Kennedy (He/Him/His)

8.Casey Weitzman (She/Her/Hers)

The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about Gender Fluid / Non-binary identities. This program is presented with the support of the City of West Hollywood's WeHo Arts Program and IBM's Community Grant Program. Although this event is free of charge, tax-deductible donations to www.thelavendereffect.org/donate/ are greatly appreciated.

Parking will be available in the 5-level parking garage directly behind the library.
