Herut, the Federation's emissary from Israel, will talk about religion and state in Israel. We'll explore the meaning and expression of a Jewish state, the history of the Jewish laws and the Rabbanut (Chief Rabbinate of Israel) and the perception gaps between Israelis and American Jews including the current issues of egalitarianism at the Kotel and the conversion law.
