Couples Massage Workshop
Join us for our Couples Massage Workshop: an evening full of fun, relaxation, and learning! This workshop is presented by our Licensed Chicago Massage Therapist, Colleen, who will teach you and your plus one some simple Couples Massage techniques and the basics of Trigger Point Therapy.
This workshop is for anyone looking to experience and learn something new, All couples and pairs of friends or family members are welcome!
Foundational massage communication techniques are discussed as we learn the answers to many of our massage questions from an expert massage therapist, such as:
How hard we should press?
Where should we press?
Should it hurt?
How can I best help my partner?
One of the specific techniques Colleen will demonstrate is trigger point therapy. A trigger point is that knot you feel in your muscles; sometimes they are painful, sometimes they dont hurt unless you press on them, and sometimes they can radiate pain to another part of your body. This workshop is designed to help you and your partner gain knowledge on what a trigger point is and what you can do about it.
The workshop lasts about an hour. Colleen will begin by explaining the principles and foundational techniques needed for the workshop, followed by the second half of the workshop where you and your partner will give and receive a massage from each other. You will be fully clothed and in a workshop setting. Please wear loose-fitting clothing.
Seating is limited, so RSVP as soon as possible! Registration is $20 for each couple.
