The Hootenanny
This evening will bring together a variety of ukulele acts and you! We'll play along and sing songs on Americas favorite instrument. So bring your ukulele!
You wont need music or stands because well play three chord songs that everyone knows and therell be extra ukes if you wanna try one.
Along with ukes therell be a bass and percussion instruments if you wanna join in with those.
Whats a "Hootenanny"? Based on a folk music tradition its a jam/open mic with a chance for players to perform between group songs. So ...... do ya have a song we need to hear? Come play with some of my ukulele friends"!
The Hootenanny will be a seasonal show and hosted by Rich Amazing Dick Leufstedt, a Worcesterite and Ukulele Missionary.
Bring a dish or beverage to share and come play along with whos who of local ukulele talent!
Lineup TBA and constantly changing. A portion of the proceeds to benefit WCUW 91.3 FM
