Intro to Pottery Wheel Workshop with Kevin Caufield and Jason Kaping
Everwood Farmstead Foundation is proud to present a series of 2-hour Pottery Wheel Workshops with Kevin Caufield and Jason Kaping on Saturday, August 25 - choose from classes that start at 10 am, 1 pm and 4 pm! Each session will be limited to 10 participants.

Potters Kevin Caufield and Jason Kaping have been making ceramic art and teaching students  techniques on the potter's wheel for a combined 60+ years. For the past 4 years, Kevin and Jason have been working together at Caufield Clay Works in St. Paul, MN where they've hosted over 1,000 workshops. Kevin and Jason's work can be found at some of the area's best galleries, art festivals, craft breweries and restaurants.

Their 2 hour wheel throwing class caters to any skill level. Participants will observe a brief demonstration on the potter's wheel, followed by ample time to try their hand at making their own functional ceramic art with hands-on guidance during the entire class. Throwing on the wheel can be more challenging then it looks so Kevin and Jason aim to keep the class light and playful while still being exceptionally informative. Participants can make as many pots as they would like during class, choose their favorite 3 pots each, then Kevin and Jason will fire and finish their work the same way they process their own pottery. After the firing, students receive pots they can actually use; food, dishwasher, microwave, and oven-safe. Within a few weeks after the class, participants will be able to pick up their new pottery at Caufield Clay Works or Everwood Farmstead.

The price for the Workshop is $75 a person (which includes beverages).

Participants should bring:
* Comfortable clothes and sensible shoes based on the weather
* Picnic meal to enjoy at the farm either before or after your class

**The workshop will be held regardless of temperature or weather conditions and Everwood is not able to provide a refund for any reason.**
