The State of the Story: How Podcasting is Making its Mark / May 20 / 2pm
The UC Berkeley J-School welcomes the Third Coast International Audio Festival for a special program: The State of the Story, a conversation about how podcasts are shaping the sound of audio storytelling. What shows are at the forefront of narrative innovation? And what are the trends, highlights, and even lowlights we've heard over the past year?
Ben Manilla, Director of Audio at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, will host a panel of audio makers and critics who will share work that has made a mark, ignited conversations and pushed the boundaries of audio. Hear from the following panelists: Johanna Zorn (Third Coast), Al Letson (Reveal) Sandhya Dirks (KQED) & Julie Caine (Al Jazeera). And we'll open the mics for audience participation.
Note: Join us at 1pm in the J-School courtyard for mingling & light refreshments before the panel begins at 2pm!
