Paper Tigers Movie Screening
Documentary Screening and Panel Discussion
Paper Tigers is an intimate look into the lives of six students at Lincoln High School, an alternative school in Walla Walla, WA that specializes in educating youth impacted by trauma and toxic stress. This documentary, directed by James Redford, is a compelling story of how one school made dramatic progress through the implementation of trauma informed educational strategies that significantly changed the trajectory of students struggling from the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The outcomes at Lincoln High School is an inspiring example of a model with great promise in healing struggling youth by creating Trauma-Informed Communities.
Keynote Speaker: Jim Sporleder, former principal of Lincoln High School, will lead a 30-minute post-screening talk and join our community panel discussion.
