SeeThrough
Jenny Rose's parents are having a party. Aunt Eden is engaged. Someone's cheating. Someone's praying. Someone's a Buddhist. Someone's gay. Someone's offended. Someone is playing something called the "&@%#" card. And someone is asking way too many questions. You're invited.
SeeThrough is a party within a story, and an immersive experience where audiences are party guests who ultimately become accomplices to a young girl's quirky and often inappropriate life questions. With music, digital media, and ten artist installations that magnify aspects of the story, guests examine the rooms that one never gets to enter. SeeThrough is a labyrinth and tactile arcade all within a kaleidoscopic story involving one young girl past her bedtime. Each person who enters shifts from an eavesdropping party guest to a puzzle-solving pathfinder to a proactive guest in the story. The environment is fluid. Things change. No two nights are alike. Guests also enjoy food, drink, live music and other oddities, all for one $20 bill. The production takes audiences beyond traditional theater and gallery exhibits, and into a deeper, transformative community experience. PushPush's largest project to date, the SeeThrough experiment has been created in partnership with a wide variety of creatives from Atlanta's growing arts scene, and is being presented at the the Erikson Clock building in Atlanta's Castleberry Hill Arts District.
GUESTS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED PAST 8:15 pm.
