Tank-aret: Sammie James
Sammie James is a comedian and story teller from New Jersey where, she hosts and produces The LGBT showcase Queerly Comedic. She performs all over the tri state area and is soon to be your favorite disabled, nerdy, butch transwoman in comedy.
In Her show Its Nice to Feel Wanted Sammie explores some of the more awkward and in some cases traumatic experiences. Bad dates, bad relationships, health issues, and uncomfortable conversations, are all in there and yeah some silly jokes about animals and movies will be there too. Some of these stories are brand new; some have been itching to be told for a long time and Sammie James is excited to share them with you.
With an opening act by Jimena Lucero!
JIMENA LUCERO is a poet and activist born and raised in NYC. She was a 2017 Pushcart Prize nominee. She is co-organizer of the TransisMagick Collective which pushes for trans liberation through art & community building. Jimenas work appears in EOAGH and Blueshift Journal.
