AFFGS Education Event- Transracial Adoption Workshop
Adoptive Friends and Families of Greater Seattle (AFFGS) invites you and your family to join us for a Transracial Adoption Workshop presented by transracial adoptee and transracial adoption coach Chad Goller-Sojourner. During this two-hour workshop, Mr. Goller-Sojourner will:
-Prepare prospective adoptive parents to better understand and appreciate all that comes with adopting and raising a transracial child.
-Help prospective adoptive parents make a more informed decision as to whether transracial adoption is right for them
-Help prospective adoptive parents understand whether they, their family, and their environment are the right fit for a child of a different race
-Equip transracial adoptive parents with age-appropriate insight, suggestions, and tools for developing healthy same-race identities in young children
-Provide transition-specific tools and suggestions for those adopting older children transracially

FREE for AFFGS Members; $20 for Non-Members.
SUPERVISED CHILDCARE is available for children ages 1-10. Space is limited to 20 children. $10 for 1 child, $15 for 2 children, $25 for 3 children; $30 for 4 children.
