Balloon Mapping with Public Lab
Public Lab will guide participants in the essentials of launching a camera and/or sensor equipped balloon to study and document a site. During the workshop we will fly our balloon at or near the event to capture environmental images and information on the surrounding area. After the flight portion of the workshop concludes, participants will design a prototype of a game based on the images and information they've captured.
*Participants should plan to bring their own cameras and an large empty plastic bottle.

Public Lab's work in capturing aerial photographs and other environmental data with balloons and kites grew out of efforts following the 2010 BP Oil disaster.
