The 8.5-hour course will give you the skills to help someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis. The 5-step strategy includes assessing risk, respectful listening, supporting the person in crisis, and identifying appropriate professional help.
Qualified attendees may apply for a fee waiver and attend at no charge! Full time students and anyone on any government assistance program qualifies. So, please don't let the cost of the course keep you away! We want everyone who's interested to be able to participate! The #3 Memorial Fund will sponsor those who qualify. To determine if you qualify, please go to http://bit.do/mhfa-ap and complete the short, online application. Then, once you are emailed the password, return to our event here at Brown Paper Tickets and reserve your space using the password given.
