Romance & Roses
Love, and the scent of roses, will fill the air as you enjoy a rare opportunity to be in the Sacramento Historic City Cemetery in the evening during peak bloom of their collection of rare and historic roses. You will stroll down Historic Rose Garden paths surrounded by old-fashioned roses, which tower overhead on archways and large bushes. Costumed actors will tell stories of the love lives of people buried in the cemetery and recount legends and history of the roses themselves. You will even hear sa couple of rosy love songs. ome historic rose-themed love songs. This event is a fund-raiser to support volunteer efforts in the cemetery, including garden operations and monument repair.
