The Sweater Series
5thCo is proud to present The Sweater Series directed by Jeff McGilton from March 22nd - 24th in the Rotunda Theatre at Queen's University.
The Sweater Series is a collection of six short plays by six Canadian playwrights, all from an anthology called Long Story Short, safe for the 5th Co. debut of our artist in residence, Jacob Ballantyne. Each play takes a unique approach to questions we are faced with today, often through humour, including topics of sexuality, ability and intersectionality (to name a few). Rather than dancing around these conversations, what happens when we take a head-first dive right in? Being part of the cast will mean being a part of a conversation that is at times complex, hopefully cozy, but always collaborative!
The collection includes: 'Cook' by David James Brock 'Brother, Brother' by Meghan Greeley 'Pee & Q's' by Josh Downing 'A Recipe for Tomato Butter' by Florence Gibson MacDonald 'The Only Good Indian BETA' by Jivesh Parasram 'The Baby Uncle' By Jacob Ross Ballantyne
