Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Thurston Middle School presents "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice.
Joseph is the favored son of Jacob who gives his favorite son a stunning coat of many colors. After his jealous brothers sell him into slavery, Joseph quickly rises through the ranks of the household staff of the Egyptian noble Potiphar. However, Joseph is thrown in jail following a misunderstanding involving Potiphar's wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams which changes the course of life dramatically. "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" is a story told entirely through song and includes music from a variety of different styles from country-western to calypso.
