Clarence Penn
Esteemed NYC drummer, Clarence Penn, played with the Ellis Marsalis trio from 1987-1991. He has gone on to work with David Sanchez, Slide Hampton, Jimmy Smith, Stanley Clarke, Tim Warfield, Bob Berg, Diana Krall, Cyrus Chestnut and was a long time member of the Maria Schneider big band.
He will run a Drum Masterclass at the Durham Jazz Workshop on Saturday, April 7, 12:30-2pm.
