Urban Stories Theatre, Knox Theatre Collective and Archetype Productions Presents A Woman of a Certain Age®
A Woman of a Certain Age® is a sometimes hilarious, sometimes poignant, always truthful portrayal of six women who, as they grow older, are pushed to the edge by the demands of family and career, struggling with the changes and losses that accompany becoming an invisible woman in a culture obsessed with youth and beauty. This solo show is for men and women of all ages, from adolescent to geriatric. It won Best of Fest at the 2015 Calgary International Fringe Festival, playing to sold out audiences there and at the 2016 Edmonton and Lethbridge Fringe Festivals, and the 2017 Regina and Winnipeg Fringe Festivals.

Wendy Froberg's solo shows Interruptions and A Woman of a Certain Age® were each awarded Outstanding Original Script at the 2011 and 2013 Calgary One-Act Play Festivals. Her plays, Riches and Best Interests, were produced in 2013 and 2014 by Urban Stories Theatre.
As an actor, Wendy has performed on stage with several Calgary theatre companies, including Mob Hit, Morpheus, Workshop, Gas and Light, Full Circle, Company of Rogues, TheatreBSMT, Fire Exit, Sage and UrbanCurvz and also works in radio, television and independent film.
Archetype Productions is dedicated to bringing to the stage new works of theatre that explore the profound and universal human themes of relationship, struggle, loss, healing and transformation.
