Eclectic Stew- March
This month's program has seven off beat plays by some of Los Angeles most talented actors, writers and directors. Below is a brief synopsis of each one that you will want to be seeing.
Bum Tickers By Thomas Prosser. Play 1 Sara and Jimmy 1. An ex- con thug, yearns for a new life as an artist and is draw to Greenwich Village artist, Sara who likes to flirt with the dark side of human nature, but lives a pure life as an artist. Play 2- From Bum Tickers- By Thomas Prosser- Tired of Fucking Letters. Ex - Boxer Stormy Weathers- just released from prison for a murder he did not commit, encounters his ex wife Jazz singer and doper, Carmen St. James whom he still loves, and who is now married to Stormy's brother. Play 3 Love Stinks By Paul Gulino who works as a college professor examines the relationship between Johnny a student who wants to trade sex for higher grades with his teacher.
Play March Madness- By Paul Gulino who again writes about about relationships between teacher and student.
Play 5 Mail- Written and directed by Michael Goldstein- Gloria is an 80 years old woman coming to terms with the end of her life and her beloved son, David who must deal with her death. Play 6- Surfs Up- By Ken Levine. 11. Frank has a zest for life and wants to convince his daughter, Wendy to take a surfing trip with him to help bond them and experience life on and off the waves.
(7) Power By Willard Manus- Horace is an old rummy encounters a door-to-door salesman named Mahatma who is into positive thinking in a big way.
