Intellectual Property Basics For The Cannabis Industry

This program will address the laws of intellectual property as applied to the nascent legalized cannabis industry, including:
Trademarks and the laws of branding;
Copyright law for creative works;
Trade Secret protection for confidential business information; and
Patents
Intellectual property attorney Chris Passarelli (DP&F) will explore the application of IP law to the cannabis industry and other fields of agribusiness, and will attempt to provide non-IP expert attendees with some working knowledge of the topic areas while delving into some of the significant emerging issues affecting cannabis producers.
