Beer-B-Que, Waterloo IL
This beer and BBQ tasting event and competition will be held in Waterloo on Main Street at the Monroe County Courthouse on May 12 from 11 AM to 4 PM. For guests, an armband will be required for entry and sampling. We will be offering 3 different types of armbands for sale.

BBQ tasting 12 PM-4 PM: Each BBQ or combination wristband includes samples of both professional and amateur prepared BBQ while available. Amateur BBQ will be prepared completely on site and be entered into a judged competition with entries being due each hour starting at noon. Entry categories include Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Brisket. Prize money is awarded for the top 3 entries in each category so the BBQ-ers will be bringing their best BBQ! Professional BBQ will be prepared either on site or at their respective kitchens and served at the competition. The professionals will compete in the category of pork ribs and be judged by popular vote from anyone with a BBQ or Combination wristband. The Waterloo Optimist Club is committed to having plenty of great BBQ on site to sample. We promise, you wont leave hungry!
Homebrew tasting 11 AM-4 PM: Must be 21 to participate and drink samples. Each homebrew or combination wristband includes a commemorative 12 oz glass with the 2018 Beer-B-Que logo. It also includes samples of homebrewed beer hand-crafted by members of The Ferm Homebrew Club of Monroe County as well as other brewers representing other clubs in the St. Louis area. If you have a wristband, you will help decide the best beer at the event with the winning beer to be brewed at Stubborn German Brewing Company in Waterloo. The Ferm members are super excited to show off their creations and there will be a huge selection of beer styles to sample from!
Brewers and BBQers will be set up next to one another to allow patrons that purchase the combination wristband to sample both beer and food as they walk through the event grounds.

All proceeds from the event go to help the Waterloo Optimist Club do what they do best. Help the youth in the Waterloo area by supporting projects that benefit them both monetarily by donating to youth in need and giving to worthy youth causes in the community as well as physically doing the work to build things like the skate park, roller hockey rink, playgrounds, walking paths, etc.
Must be 21 to purchase homebrew wristband. Photo ID's will be checked at the gate. No age limit on BBQ wristband, but wristbands will be required for anyone who is tasting. Grilled hot dogs will be available for purchase for kids. This event is rain or shine. No refunds will be given.
When purchasing tickets from this site, you can choose between printing your tickets or having them mailed to you. You must bring this ticket with you the day of the event, along with a photo ID.
