About
Afrocops ever-evolving visual grooves have been inspired by sci-fi film and dystopian novels. The Seattle trio performs improvised soundscapes of soul, afrobeat, breakbeat, sci-fi and jazz. A Scanner Darkly, Richard Linklaters hauntingly weird, partially rotoscoped adaptation of Philip K. Dicks novel, is a neat fit for any 4/20 show, with brain-melting double- and triple-identities, freaked-out fugue states, and the kind of totalitarian surveillance state that we actually live in now.
