Carnival of the Animals & Graduation Ball
Princeton Youth Ballet presents an entertaining double-bill of two one-act ballets perfect for the whole family:
CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS, a new ballet by choreographer Risa Kaplowitz, captures the feel of a modern-day storybook with the story of a little boy who, when forced to leave his playmates to practice the piano, uses his vivid imagination to bring the memorable music of Camille Saint-Saëns to life.
GRADUATION BALL is set in a nineteenth-century girls' boarding school, where boys from a nearby military academy have been invited to a dance in celebration of the graduating seniors. Originally choreographed by David Lichine to the lively music of Johann Strauss II, the ballet is filled with brilliant dancing, laugh-out-loud comedy, and delightful entertainment.
