Steve focuses on creating sustainable landscapes that help to improve soil health, conserve water, and reduce pollution from entering Barnegat Bay. Steve received a B.S. in Biology from University of Massachusetts, an M.S. in Biology from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from Rutgers University. His presentation will be on the benefits to water quality using native plants.
We will also be featuring Russell Juelg, Senior Land Steward

Our President, John Black will also be presenting at the Annual Meeting. He will be presenting Arrachnids! : While spiders are the not most cuddly creatures around our gardens, they are truly amazing and vitally important. His program will look at spiders from the lighter side; forget about the humdrum identification, he will discuss some of the fascinating and unique things that spiders can do and make the connection of why that matters to us two legged monsters.
We are going to change up the format this year to allow more time for networking, visiting our exhibitors and to give you more time for visiting Sticks and Twigs, our annual plant sale.
We also are going to announce the NPSNJ plant of the year! We have narrowed down the list to 5 species that YOU get to vote on. The species with the most votes will be announced after lunch and 5 lucky winners will be drawn from all of the votes cast.
Our seating is very limited at Medford Leas, so don't wait to purchase your ticket.
