CultivEAT 2018
On Saturday, April 28th Roosevelt Growhouse will host the 4th annual CultivEAT Farm-to-Table dinner in the heart of Roosevelt Row Arts District in Downtown Phoenix. Cultiv-eat cultivates connections by bringing together new and long-time community members, including the 'movers and shakers' of downtown, city staff, political leaders, business owners, residents and urban agriculturalists alike over a delicious locally-grown & prepared meal. Local chefs will collaborate to create an amazing meal paired with beer and wine from Historic Brewing Company and the Grand Canyon Winery. Please join us for this charming community dinner featuring locally sourced produce and foods. Past partners include Mayas Farm, Crooked Sky Farms, Pinnacle Farms, McClendon's Select, Crows Dairy, The Meat Shop, The Simple Farm, Carlys Bistro, Schnepf Farms, Tammie Coe Cakes, MJ Bread and more. To complete the experience there will be live music and tours of the Growhouse garden.

Growhouse has moved to a new location at the Leighton G. Knipe historic property at 1025 N 2nd st., a few blocks West of the original location on 6th street, where we sprouted almost a decade ago. We are excited about the possibilities for growth and partnership at this new location and what will unfold in this next chapter for Growhouse. The gardens at the site have already sprouted and our first season will be filled with rows of sunflowers with the goal initially to remediate/heal the grounds for future vegetable plantings.

Proceeds from this event will be used towards furthering the Growhouse Gardens efforts to create an Urban Agriculture, Education and Innovation Center in Roosevelt Row Arts District. As an educational partner of Bioscience High School and the School of Sustainability at ASU, the garden serves as an extension for students to engage in hands-on learning and experimentations in urban agriculture. Additionally, part of the proceeds will also benefit the Evans Churchill Community Associations mission to raise awareness, promote, improve, and protect the Neighborhood.

Please join us in celebrating Growhouse 2.0!! We can't wait to see you all for another year and a delicious meal!!

*The menu for the evening will be released a few days prior to the event.
