The Art and Science of Talking with Your Kids, featuring Dr. Wendy Mogel
Dr. Mogel is known for combining cutting-edge psychological research with timeless wisdom in guiding parents through the rough waters of child rearing in todays competitive world. In her new book, Voice Lessons for Parents: What to Say, How to Say it, and When to Listen, Dr. Mogel offers an essential guide to the art of talking with children of all ages, showing us how a change in voice can transform communication and ease the relationship between parents and children.

Her research-based guidelines help parents communicate with more warmth, respect, and sincerity, as well as foster open parent-child relationships that will help ensure our childrens success in the classroom and in life.

Dr. Mogel will sign copies of her new book as well as her previous two books after the event.  A limited number of copies will be for sale.

The Safe Community Coalition thanks Temple Rodef Shalom for donating space and funds for Dr. Mogel's visit and for its ongoing support of SCC programs. Arrangements for the appearance of Wendy Mogel were made through Greater Talent Network, Inc., New York, New York.

About the Safe Community Coalition:

The Safe Community Coalition (SCC) is a group of community volunteers whose mission is to educate and empower youth and families to make responsible choices about their mental and physical health and safety.

The SCCs vision is a community where youth learn to make responsible decisions and where they are safe, mentally and physically healthy, and free from alcohol and drug use. The SCC offers programs for youth, parents, and the community in collaboration with other community sectors concerned about our youth: schools, parent/teacher associations, faith organizations, businesses, public safety organizations, the medical community, and civic organizations.

The SCC is tax-exempt non-profit organization that is 100% funded by donations. See mcleanscc.org for more details on how you can donate and get involved.
