move(men)t - A Men's Dance Festival
SAFEhouse presents a new annual festival that highlights the unique contributions of men in the field of Bay Area contemporary dance. This years festival is provocative combination of veteran choreographer (Scott Wells and Eric Kupers), trans-men (Joshua Klipp from Freeplay Dance Crew) and a full slate of emerging choreographers. move(men)t features two programs and promises to become an important new addition to the Bay Areas cultural landscape. Program A April 17-18 Thu-Fri - Sheldon Smith, Joshua Klipp (Freeplay Dance Crew), Adam Venker, Shannon Preto and a dance film by Rajendra Serber and Program B April 19-20 Sat-Sun with Andrew Wass, Scott Wells, Shannon Preto, Charles Gushue and a new film by Eric Kupers.
