The Rise and Fall of King Donald the 1/5th
A rich, aggressive merchant aims to seize the throne of Egoland from dying King Omba. He needs the help of three witches - but they have their own subversive ideas. Who can save the world from his destructive impulses? Surely not his long-suffering servant Sundry, who has been with him since long before he was the king to be - or not to be. This prophetic satire will help you laugh at things that would otherwise make you cry. Berkshire-based touring group The Rattle'n'Roll Players juggle humour, pathos and Shakespearean imagery to present a hilarious take on contemporary politics. Written and directed by Gabriel Chanan with music by Jeremy Soane.
