Dinner with Eric Railsback of Lieu Dit Winery
We are over the moon to have Eric Railsback joining us Monday, February 12th for a bite and a chat. Eric will be sharing some of his favorites wines from Lieu Dit, plus a few inspiring bottles from Italy, compliments of Kermit Lynch. Join our table for this one of a kind, family-style wine evening where stellar food and beautiful wine, create and shape our food community at GRANO ARSO.
Eric Railsbacks emergence in the wine industry began taking shape in Santa Barbara nearly a decade ago. After stints at the Wine Cask and the Hungry Cat, Railsback furthered his exposure to different regions and producers at Osteria Mozza and running the wine program at Gordon Ramsey in Los Angeles. Eric has a strong connection to the wines of France. Fluent in French and working.
harvests all over Europe, Eric brought his talents to Michael Minas RN74 a premiere Burgundy-inspired restaurant in San Francisco. There, he led a team of sommeliers for over three years before bringing it back full circle to Santa Barbara with the opening of Les Marchands Wine Bar & Merchant.
Above all, he makes wine; for himself, in Santa Barbara with his founded Lieu Dit, with others in Santa Barbara, Railsback Freres with his brother Lyle and Presquile with Diter Kronje. In Burgundy at the famed Domaine Dujac in Morey-St. Denis, where he harvests and makes wine with Jeremy Seysses. Eric is also featured in the documentary SOMM: Into the Bottle.
