Birchtree Catering Supper Club
We invite you to dine with us on March 14th at Bok Building from 7:00-10:00pm. The evening will feature Birchtree's latest seasonal and local creations, and we are strongly collaborating with the Bok tenants to provide as much decor, entertainment, tableware, textiles and furniture as possible for the event.
Birchtree Supper Clubs start with an interactive cocktail hour, followed by a one of a kind multi-course dinner with new seasonal, locally sourced dishes. Our chefs work on creating new dishes and reintroducing favorites that highlight spring's best local foods.
Bok is a historic vocational school closed by the School District of Philadelphia in 2013, currently being restored into a new, richly layered and constantly evolving center for creatives, small-businesses, non-profits, small-batch manufacturers and beyond. The project takes stock of the existing infrastructure (wood shops, culinary training kitchens, science labs and classrooms) to enable activity and affordability to create a revived place of making, training, learning and job creation in South Philly. Today over 80,000 square feet within the building is filled with jewelers, architects, furniture makers, fashion designers, milliners, product designers, artists, charitable organizations, a day care and even a local boxing club in the previously empty classrooms. Nearly 80% of our current tenants are residents of South Philly.
Q: Who attends Supper Club?
A: Tickets are open to the public and anyone can attend! Seating is communal and conversation is where the real magic happens at Supper Club. We also invite the creators and collaborators of the event to dine with us at the table.
Q: What if I have dietary restrictions?
A: Supper Club is 5-7 courses, usually featuring meat, seafood, and poultry within at least 3 of those. Special versions of dishes or substitutions can be previously arranged. Email us to confirm your needs! We focus on exceptional service at Supper Club, and the more information we have on who in your party has specific needs, the better we can accommodate.
Q: Do I have to pay in advance?
A: Yes, purchasing your ticket in advance reserves your spot and ensures enough food is made to go around. Because we are prepping in advance, ticket sales are closed 12 hours before the event.
Q: Is there parking?
A: The location for this specific Supper Club is accessible by public transportation and there will be street parking available. As always, we ask that you give yourself ample time to find parking and arrive to the dinner on time.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: We prefer dressy casual. There will be a professional photographer taking photos throughout the event.
