Kiki Valera is considered by many to be Cuba's greatest living cuatro player. He is also a multi-instrumentalist (tres, guitar, bass, keyboards & percussion), composer, arranger, sound engineer & producer. After 25 years of directing La Familia Valera Miranda - Santiago de Cuba's most beloved traditional Cuban music septeto - this amazing international recording artist has moved to Seattle where he is currently working with a new lineup of talented musicians & playing to sold out crowds.
Kiki will be joined this evening by an all star lineup of talented musicians including Pedro Vargas (former member of Barbarito Torres band of Buena Vista Social Club fame) on bongos, Joshuah de Jesus on lead vocals & congas (Buena Vibra Sextet), Alfredo Polier on lead vocals & Javier Maru on guitar and vocals (Trio Cubay) & Dean Schmidt on bass.
