February Vancouver Program - The Aging Workforce
Age discrimination, unfortunately, is alive and well. This presentation will review the laws prohibiting age discrimination with reference to recent cases that illustrate the pitfalls that may lead to legal claims. Many of these pitfalls arise from perceptions and stereotypes of older workers held by decision-makers and co-workers. We will discuss best practices to reduce the legal risk of age discrimination claims and how to create a workplace of inclusion regarding older employees.
