For its first production Ora Nui will be doing a dramatic interpretation of Tahitian legend Areiti: Tahiti's Little Mermaid. This dark tale is about a beautiful mermaid thrust upon hostile shores to teach a merciless "toa" and his uncompromising tribe compassion. She must change their ways to return home, or she will die trying.
This dramatic production will be performed for one night only! Don't miss it!
Also featuring Heritage High School's ASL Student Interpreters for our friends in the Deaf community and an intermission performance by Heritage High School's Multicultural Club. Come out and help us support Diversity, Art and Education in our community!
Ora Nui is the only AUTHENTIC Tahitian dance school in Vancouver, WA.
We are dedicated to sharing our love of Tahitian dance, music, language and culture with all the ladies and little ladies of the Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR communities.
