KOREresponse: Along the lines of sleeping
Selected as part of New Museum's biennial IDEAS CITY Festival 2013
Along the lines of sleeping is a physical exploration of our relationships to time and reality in a too-fast-to-slow-down world. This investigation builds the space to open the dialogue between states of sleep and wakefulness - and the fleeting, sometimes equivocal, moments in between. The cast of five female dancers effortlessly balances femininity and strength in a piece full of poetic abstraction that is grounded in athletic detail.
